The 21st Annual Lions Club Balloon and Musical Festival will be held August 15-17, 2008, on the shores of Lake Lewisville at Copperas Branch Park, Highland Village, Texas.  Admission is free with a $5 per car donation for parking.

The event was voted 2008 Neighbors Choice Award Winner for Best Community Event in Denton County.   You can get up close and personal as you walk on the balloon field to visit with the pilots and crews.

Gates open at 5 pm on Friday, August 15, Opening Ceremonies begin at 7 pm with a balloon “glow”.  On Friday night, we have expanded our musical entertainment so you can enjoy a street dance or bring your favorite lawn chair to relax and enjoy the music.  Balloon watching and music will also be featured activities on Saturday evening, so mark your calendar to join us for a unique family fun experience at the lake on I-35E, just south of the Lewisville Lake bridge.

For you early-birds the hot air balloons will also launch at 7 am, Saturday and Sunday mornings (weather permitting).  Bring your appetite and enjoy our pancake breakfast while you watch the balloonists demonstrate their skills.

Don’t forget to visit the Arts and Craft tents, Food Court, Kid Zone and take a swing at the Car Bash!  We have added a dunking booth with local personalities “volunteering” to sit as a target.  Don’t worry about the heat, we have added “cool zones”.

This is a fun-filled family event with the proceeds used to support the Lions Club charities.
